The telling of stories is an aspect found in virtually every culture. The ways in which a story can be told are almost as varied as the themes of the stories themselves. The method of storytelling that I always found most compelling was visual.

The primary focus of my art has been to tell stories. That is why I chose to major in illustration during college. That is also why I feel that one of the highest forms of art is the comic. No other medium is as demanding on the artist, but no other medium allows for the fluidity of storytelling that comics offer.

Through my work, I hope to be able to tell the stories that stir up the fiery human spirit within the viewer.
